RainShine Music Studio

Hi there! Welcome to RainShine Music Studio. 

My name is Athena Fritz and I am the owner and sole teacher of RainShine Music studio. I am a musician to my very core. My specialty is the viola. I love the richness of it's sound, it's range, and the part it often plays as the glue of an orchestra, bringing all of the different parts together, just right. I get to sit in the middle of everything and absorb it all. <3
Music can bring joy, or sadness, stillness or curiosity. It can inspire and bring us together as a community. It can tell our stories in a deep and memorable way. I have a passion for sharing my music and helping others to do so as well. I teach primarily viola, of course, but I also teach violin and beginning piano to students of the Tri-Cities, WA area.
I play and sing with several groups in the area, including the Mid-Columbia Symphony and the Mid-Columbia Mastersingers.

Now is a great time for wood-shedding with our instruments, so that we can rise from this quiet moment with more to share than ever before! We may not be able to do much in groups, but this is a prime opportunity to really dig in and work on our technique and solo performance. And hey, if you're just home with more free time than usual, this is a great time to rekindle your love of music with a new (or old) hobby that can brighten any home! I offer half-hour lessons on viola, violin and piano, from never-touched-an-instrument-before-beginners on up.
